The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City will host a Webinar on Indonesia – Vietnam Business Opportunities to Accelerate Economic Recovery “Creative Economy and Digital Economy”. This webinar will explore further opportunities and deepen cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam in the field of creative economy and digital economy.
Creative economy enables added value of export products of the two countries which would contribute significantly to a country’s Gross Domestic Product and employment as well as enhance the tourism industry. Promoting cooperation in creative economy between Indonesia and Vietnam is stated in the Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Strategic Partnership between Indonesia and Vietnam (2019 – 2023). It is also in accordance with this year’s International Year of Creative Economy on Sustainable Development.
Digital economy can be the forefront of a new economic cooperation that could be further explored between Indonesia – Vietnam. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, digitalization has been on the rise globally, including in Indonesia and Vietnam, and will most likely continue throughout the recovery of the pandemic.

The objective of this webinar will be to: 1) Provide an outlook on Indonesia – Vietnam Bilateral Relations; 2) Provide an outlook on Indonesia’s Creative Economy Industry and Digital Economy; 3) Updates and Sharing information on Indonesia and Vietnam (in Ho Chi Minh City Area) Business Opportunities; 4) Build capacities on best practices and successful implementation of taking advantage of business opportunities from Indonesian business practitioners in Ho Chi Minh City in the culinary and digital sectors; 4) Connecting SMEs participants with banking institutions in supporting their business growth.
