CU CHI MILK PROCESSING PLANT

Project objectives:

- Implementation of dairy farming developing program of Cu Chi and neighboring provinces.

Project foundation: Persuade Resolution 141/NQ-HĐTV dated on June 20, 2011of Saigon Agriculture Incorpora- tion on implementing the policy of City’s Committee of the party and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee about constructing Cu Chi Milk Processing Plant.

CU CHI LIVESTOCK SLAUGHTER PLANT

Project ogjectives:

- Meeting advanced food hygiene and safety standard  in livestock slaughtering, contributing to limit illegal slaugh- ter happening seriously in the region and the city.

- Wastewater treatment meets A standard  before eliminating using microbiology technologies appropriate to the environment.

Project scale: Total investment expectation (USD): 14,000,000

Total area: 81.64 ha

Capacity/ production/ description: 250 heads/hour, 2,000 heads/day

Project period (year), project deployment plan: Project period: 2010 – 2012

Completed items: demining, topographical landmark, luminescence, stump digging (06 ha area), plant construc- tion design and estimation.

Currently bidding plan development and deploying legal documents.

Project foundation

-           Persuade Decision 31/2005/QĐ-UB dated on Feb 17th, 2005 of Hochiminh City People’s Committee on planning livestock and poultry slaughter system in the city;

-           Persuade Document 3580/UBND-CNN dated on June 20, 2006 of Hochiminh City People’s Committee about constructing livestock slaughter facilities in Cu Chi province of Saigon Agriculture Incorporation;

-           Persuade Hochiminh City’s policy in re-planning livestock and poultry slaughter to gather for easily man- aging and supplying clean meat to consumers;

-           Persuade Decision 8145/QĐ-UBND dated on October 05th, 2010 of Cu Chi Province’s People’s Committee on approval of adjusted scheme of detailed planning construction rate 1/500 of slaughter in Cu Chi province.; Persuade Decision 2305/QĐ-UBND dated on May 09th, 2011 of Hochiminh City People’s Committee on approving Saigon Agriculture Incorporation to change the purpose of land use into constructing cattle slaughter plant in Tan Thanh Tay commune, Cu Chi province.

Infrastructure at the location: Having signed land rent contract with Department of natural resources and envi- ronment to be issued Certificate of land use right, hiring consulting unit to assess rental price of the plant area. Land   Kind of land: agricultural land

Waste/ wastewater treatment system

Wastewater treatment areas are ensured to against environmental pollution.

Using bioremediation process (esp. BioArt), wastewater is collected to the tank, pumped to filter, then pouring to flotation device. Wastewater after pre-processing stage will be pumped into the receiving tank of the bioremedia- tion system.

Consumer market

-           30% of the raw materials is supplied by SAGRI (internal slaughter)

-           The remaining 70% is supplied by traders of Nam Phong factory.

Consumer market of products of animal origin: currently, SAGRI has 86 retailers, supermarkets, wholesale mar- ket and distribution channels of traders.

Social effects

-           Ensure environmental sanitation, safety in slaughter;

-           Abolish illegal slaughter places; Create jobs for the locals.

6. SAIGON ORNAMENT FLOWER CENTER 

Project objectives:

-           Developing diversity of all kinds of ornament flowers and creatures based on combining city’s strength with skills, materials, market organizing abilities of artisans of ornament flower trading villages.

-           Establish the wholesale position in tropical ornament flower trading and technologies, striving to become a leader in ornament flower producing and transiting center and gradually approaching to the export market.

-           Developing Saigon Ornament Flower Center to become an exhibition, festival, event, cultural exchange center inside and outside the city.

Total area: 500 ha

Capacity/ production/ description: 500 ha

Project period (year), project deployment plan: Project time: 5 years

Estimated schedule:

-           Investment preparation phase (2010 – 2011): setting up general plan and investing project; establishing main works, doing procedures to form Saigon OrnamentFlower Center business; surveying and preparing legal documents for the land.

Production phase (after 2011): Building basis infrastructure and central zone, organizing joint-venture production and synthetic trading and executing relevant public services…

Project foundation:

-           Based on the guidelines and spirit of the meeting  presided by City’s Committee of the Party and Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee on setting up ornament flower and tree development in Ho Chi Minh city.

-           Persuade Document 3184/UBND-CNN dated on May 18th, 2006 of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee about approval of investment on Saigon Ornament Flower Center project of Saigon Agriculture Incorporation. Location: Pham Van Hai commune, Binh Chanh province
