July 16 webinar to unlock US market potential for Vietnamese businesses

The webinar, titled Promoting Trade with the US Market, will connect key points in both Vietnam and the US, aimed at facilitating smooth interaction between domestic businesses and international experts.

The US has long been one of Vietnam’s top export markets, but it is also known for its stringent technical standards, tariffs, and import regulations. The conference will directly address key concerns of Vietnamese businesses, including US consumer trends, technical and regulatory requirements, rules of origin and customs procedures, import duties and preferential trade policies, logistics solutions, and cross-border e-commerce opportunities.

Hoang Minh Chien, deputy director of VIETRADE, is set to highlight the importance of strategic and in-depth trade promotion to unlock greater potential for Vietnamese goods in the US market.

Do Ngoc Hung, Vietnamese Trade Counselor in the US will then provide an overview of American consumer behaviour, high-potential product categories, and technical standards that exporters should keep in mind.

From a policy perspective, Tran Thanh Binh, head of the Rules of Origin Division under the Import-Export Department, will guide participants through rules of origin, customs inspection procedures, and preferential tariff policies, helping businesses fully leverage Vietnam’s free trade agreements.

Most notably, Marc Mealy, executive vice president of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) will share insights from the perspective of international businesses and practical cooperation strategies in the US market.

With cross-border e-commerce expanding rapidly, the webinar will dedicate a segment to helping Vietnamese firms build global brands and increase online exports.

Trinh Khac Toan, northern regional director of Amazon Global Selling Vietnam, will offer practical guidance on bringing Vietnamese products onto Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce platform. Meanwhile, Pham Quoc Tung, country director of Wayfair Vietnam, will introduce export solutions using Wayfair’s logistics and retail network, an ideal channel for Vietnamese handicrafts, wooden furniture, and home décor products.

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, where participating businesses can raise questions, share their challenges, and receive direct responses from industry experts.
