3. Objectives of the project

- Developing project system of social infrastructure, and integrate the urban development space is commercial, public service and other works.

- Ensuring land use structure and organization of social infrastructure systems, technical infrastructure consistent with urban planning urban construction northwest of the city.

8. Project location information

8.1. Location

- Specify location:

+ South East adjacent An Ha channel.

+ West, Southwest adjacent Long An province; Tân Thới Nhì commune, Hóc Môn district

+ North adjacent Thầy Cai channel.

- National road 22 passed by, considered the main road to some province near HCMC such as: Tây Ninh, Long An, Bình Dương, Đồng Nai and Phnom Penh capital (Cambodia).

- Thầy Cai and An Hạ channels are waterway transportation that having important meaning.

-  The project is far from HCMC downtown, Tân Sơn Nhất Airport about 25km.

- Clearance Status: Completed inventory of compensation, the upward Jun/2012 began paying compensation and land acquisition.

8.3. Electricity

- Electricity supply:

- 96 stations with a capacity 25.823KVA are on Tan Thoi Nhi commune

- Medium voltage lines: 27,7 km.

- Low voltage lines: 27,3 km.

- Lighting : 592 lamps

-  Percentage  of  household  using  electricity  : 100%.

- All people in the communes are provided electricity for daily life, production and business

... electrical system in the commune to ensure technical requirements of the electricity sector. Percentage of households regularly uses electrical safety from the source of 99%.

- Currently due to the demand for electricity for daily use and production much, so in high season the electricity generally weak , needs to increase capacity, install additional substations to meet the needs of people and installations more power lines along the route has been upgraded and opened new production development, serving the population’s living area.

8.4. Water

Water supply projects: there are 02 water supply stations in Nhị Tân 2 and Tân Lập Hamlets, with water supply capacity is about 700 households using.  Households using  safe  sanitary  water:

6.571/6.571 reached (100%), which has 680 households with water supply plants, 5,891 households using well water drilling groundwater. Annually water sampling tests have not detected infections

8.6. Traffic

- Statement: Tân Thới Nhì commune having national road 22 pass-by. Transportation network in the commune increasingly be upgraded, expanded current total of communal roads is 146 lines, overall length: 47.7 km. Of which:

+ Main and, inter-communal route: 19.4 km_11 routes; has been asphalted: 8.1 km, reaching rates of 41.9%.

+ Main and, inter-Hamlet route: 10.4 km_ 21 routes; has been asphalted: 4.1 km, reaching rates of 39.4%.

+ The internal routes of hamlet: 9.7 km_108 routes. Has been solidified and not muddy in the rainy season: 3.2 km, reaching rates of 33%.

+ The inland route: 8.2 km_06 routes. 6.5 km has been solidified, reaching 79.3% rate.

- Main transportation: motor bike.

8.7. Waste disposal systems / wastewater

-  Solid  waste  is  collected and handled according to regulations. In the commune there is 01 team with 09 members’ responsibility of waste collection and treatment, mean of waste collection: 8 motor tricycles. How it works: collecting waste in residential areas to the transit yard. The rate of household registration for waste treatment is up to 60%.

- Waste water discharged into the environment to meet the demand, accounting for 87%. However, in the commune there are some farmers and business have not complied with the regulations on waste discharge

- The rate of production facilities do not meet environmental standards: about 5.8% (10 companies). Currently An Ha, Thay Cai, and Trung Luong channel are being polluted. The cause is the business operations produce wastewater without treatment into the channel, has a great influence to the farming activities of people and polluting the environment. The litter is not strictly placing that leading to serious pollution on channels, affecting surface water source quality.

8.8. Human resource

The ability of workers supply: Total number of people between the ages of the commune is 16,812 people (accounting for 68.16% of the population). In which 8495 women (accounting for 50.52%), 8316 male (accounting for 49.48% rate). Total employed labor is 15,997 workers accounting for 95.15% of people in working age.
