            1.1. Requirement and current conditions

-          Requirement: based on draft general plan of HCMC water supply until 2025 designed by VIWASE in May 2008 (the final report)

-          Current conditions:

+ It is possible to build the plant in the area of 1.5ha where to locate for Thu Duc water plant – phase 3 (enough land for building 4 units x 150,000 m³/day)

+ Clean water pump station and raw water pump station built in phase 3

+ No need to build clean water tank (using the existing one)

+ Having trouble in clearing security corridor of raw water and clean water pipe systems built from 1965 in order to serve for development projects

+ Difficult in clearing land to build D.2400 raw water transfer system from Hoa An to Thu Duc.

-          Estimated capacity: 300,000m³/day

-          Location: Thu Duc district, HCMC.

-          Total area: 0.7 ha

+ Technological system as same that of Thu Duc 3 Water Plant (lamenlla across deposit)

+ Construction in the area of Thu Duc Water Plant (clean land)

1.6. Total investment capital, form of investment, time of investment

-             Total investment capital: VND1,650 billion

-             Form of investment: J.V

-             Time of investment: 2011 – 2014.
